A fully stocked kitchen and outdoor gas grill provide all of the necessities for your culinary creations. Dine al fresco on the outdoor deck or outdoor patio dining table. Morning, noon or night enjoy a short leisurely stroll down to the to enjoy Irish coffees on the deck at the famous Sunnyside Resort- a West Shore Tradition. Bike or hike down to the Tahoe Rim Trail. All of the local boutiques, shops and restaurants in picturesque downtown Tahoe City are just minutes away by car or if you prefer not to drive, the Casa is walking distance to TART.

THE LAKE

The western shore of Lake Tahoe is known for its year-round beauty and outdoor activities. During the winter, visitors hit the slopes on the area’s renowned ski resorts while the warmer months bring boating and water-skiing as well as hiking and mountain biking to the area around Sunnyside. Throughout a long history dating back to its construction as a summer house in 1906, the Sunnyside Lodge and the Sunnyside area has been an integral part of lake activity and Tahoe’s romantic past. The Sunnyside lakefront deck is Tahoe’s largest, and is a popular gathering place for vacationers as well as locals. The key to it all is Lake Tahoe itself. Wherever one may travel, the lake never fails to captivate: a sunrise over the far shore, the alpenglow during a winter sunset, the reflection of a full moon rising over snowcapped peaks, the amazing shades of deep blue on a summer afternoon—every day on the

Three Generations of Tahoe Living and Loving

It should come of no surprise that we are of Italian descent with a family home name like Casa Al Monte. Our grandfather~ "Nonno"; the FIRST generation, immigrated to the United States from the Piemonte region in Italy. Endless Hills, Trees and Lakes dominate the topography in that region and were forever etched in our Nonno's mind and heart. When he arrived in the U.S. and headed straight for Sacramento, California to join his cousin in the hospitality business he had no idea that he would one day discover his own Piemonte in California - called Lake Tahoe! He fell in love and years later bought a vacant lot in the Tahoe Sunnyside area which is now considered "Old Tahoe" and began to build the Casa Al Monte with his only son; our "Babbo"~ the SECOND generation. For years and years countless family members and friends have enjoyed the Casa Al Monte and developed the same love that our Nonno had known so well. We, the "bambini" (kids); ~ the THIRD generation are grateful for the first two and hope to be able to share with a Fourth generation someday soon.
